Who understands you better than other parents who have gone through the same thing?

KiKOV-Leuven is the Children's Cancer Parents Association that supports families with a child or young person with cancer, during and after treatment at UZ Leuven.  We want to create a warm network between and for families with a child who has cancer, has had cancer, or has died from it.

KiKOV-activities

KiKOV-Leuven organises an annual 'movie breakfast' for families, and the 'ado4daagse', a 4-day mini holiday for young people aged between 12 and 18.

We make sure you and your family can relax for a few days at Villa Rozerood by the sea, in De Panne.

KiKOV volunteers regularly visit the hospital for a 'peers talk'. Parents of a child undergoing treatment who need a chat can talk to parents who know from their own experience what it means to have a child with cancer.

Supporting the hospital

KiKOV-Leuven helps the children's oncology department at UZ Leuven by purchasing musical instruments, booklets and leaflets, game consoles and other useful things that make the hospital stay a little less unpleasant for the children and their parents.

Donations and fundraising activities

KiKOV-Leuven can only perform its tasks thanks to donations and the proceeds from benefit activities organised in favour of our operation.

Would you like to make a donation? You can do so via our account number BE35 7845 8841 2837 (BIC: GKCC BE BB).

If you pay taxes in Belgium and donate 40€ or more in a year bij bank transfer, you will receive a tax certificate. You will then receive 45% of the donated amount back in the form of a tax reduction. Make sure to mention 'GIFT' in the bank transfer message.
